Family business owners I have mentored, coached and worked with over the years do not hesitate to acknowledge that I have been able to add value to them personally, the next generation and their business. 

 I facilitate many family conversations, mentor and coach family business leaders and next generation potential leaders. This includes the conversations that are often too hard to hold. Families in business appreciate I understand the issues families in business face on a daily basis. My background is in family business from an early age through to owning and leading a successful food manufacturing company with a sibling.

My value to you includes board membership and chairing family boards, CEO roles, GM roles, consulting and mentoring.  I have seen an economic roller coaster style economy and been through economic hard times since 1990 and know how it hurts private business owners. 

My early years were in a family business and it's in my DNA. As a young teenager, the kitchen table was an extension of our parents business. Our early learning was by osmosis and then, over the years, by hard work, life long professional learning and by broad industry experience.

Over the years I have been a business owner, public company director, hospital and school board member, business turnaround specialist, lecturer, workshop facilitator, mediator and advisory board member for family business. MAICD, FIM&L 

The COVID-19 crisis demands that we must unlearn much of what we did previously and challenge every part of our business model.  

There is no normal as we knew it before. It will be a case of differentiate or die.
